Shaobeny Johnson
I help clients who feel anxious, emotionally exhausted, and tired of repeating the same relationship patterns. Many of the people I work with are navigating trauma, relationships, people pleasing, boundary struggles, ADHD related challenges, and major life transitions. In therapy, you can expect a blend of compassion and direction. We will slow things down enough to understand what is happening, and we will move with enough structure to create change you can actually sustain. My work is culturally responsive and grounded in honoring the full context of your story.
Approach to Therapy
My approach blends top down and bottom up work, meaning we pay attention to thoughts, beliefs, and behavior patterns, while also tracking what your body and nervous system are communicating. I use evidence-based tools that helps us understand inner parts, protective strategies, and the deeper needs underneath them. I focus on attachment, nervous system regulation, emotional communication, and practical interventions you can use between sessions. Therapy with me is collaborative and honest. We will name patterns without shame, build new skills with intention, and create a plan that fits your culture, your values, and your real life.
