Loretta Gephart
l'm Lori Gephart, a Licensed Psychologist in Pennsylvania with 36 years of experience providing therapy for adults. My focus is on helping individuals across the state of Pennsylvania navigate anxiety, stress, family conflicts, grief, insomnia, and trauma to discover peace and joy. I customize treatment plans to fit each client's unique needs, often addressing past trauma, anxiety, depression, and negative thoughts. I provide a safe environment and tools for healing, aiming to help clients achieve their desired life. Using an eclectic mix of therapeutic techniques, I guide clients from their first session towards personal growth and a balanced life.
I am accepting new clients and I have evening and weekend appointments available.
Approach to Therapy
My approach to therapy is collaborative, steady, and deeply personalized. I don’t believe in forcing people into a rigid model or expecting them to show up a certain way. Instead, I meet you exactly where you are, whether you’re overwhelmed, anxious, stuck in old patterns, or simply trying to make sense of a difficult season of life. I use an eclectic blend of evidence‑based approaches, including cognitive‑behavioral strategies, mindfulness, somatic grounding, and insight‑oriented exploration. I choose each intervention intentionally, based on what will help you feel understood, supported, and empowered in the moment. Some sessions focus on practical skills and problem‑solving; others go deeper into emotions, relationships, and the experiences that shaped you. Both are valuable, and both can move you forward. Therapy with me is conversational and human. You don’t have to perform, be perfect, or have the right words. We slow things down, notice patterns, explore what’s weighing on you, and build tools that help you navigate life with more clarity and steadiness. My role is to offer perspective, teach skills, help you regulate your nervous system, and support you in creating changes that feel realistic and sustainable. Above all, I aim to create a space where you feel safe, respected, and genuinely seen, a space where you can lay things down, sort through them, and begin to feel like the you that you want to be.
