Lloyd Osterhout
I believe therapy is a collaborative process where you can feel heard, understood, and supported without judgment. My approach is trauma-informed and integrative, drawing from EMDR, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, attachment-based approaches, and other evidence-based interventions based on each client’s unique needs.
I work with children, teens, and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, grief, emotional regulation difficulties, life transitions, and relationship challenges. I also enjoy helping clients better understand how past experiences may influence their thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and relationships today.
My goal is to create a safe and supportive space where clients can explore their experiences, develop practical coping skills, strengthen their relationships, and work toward meaningful change. I believe that healing looks different for everyone, and I strive to meet each client where they are while helping them build greater self-awareness, confidence, and emotional well-being.
Approach to Therapy
My approach to therapy is collaborative, trauma-informed, and individualized to each client’s needs and goals. I integrate EMDR, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, attachment-based approaches, and other evidence-based interventions to help clients better understand their thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and relationships. I believe therapy should provide a safe, supportive space where clients can be heard without judgment while developing practical tools for meaningful change. With children and teens, I incorporate age-appropriate, engaging interventions that support emotional expression, coping skills, self-esteem, and emotional regulation. With adults and couples, I focus on building insight, strengthening relationships, improving communication, and addressing patterns that may be contributing to current difficulties. Whether working through trauma, anxiety, ADHD, grief, life transitions, or relationship challenges, I meet clients where they are and work collaboratively toward greater understanding, resilience, and well-being.
