Katelyn Barnett, LPC
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with over 7 years of experience providing therapy to individuals navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, and life transitions. My approach is rooted in evidence-based practices including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
I take a client-centered and collaborative approach, creating a space where clients feel safe, supported, and understood. I believe therapy should be both compassionate and practical—helping clients gain insight while also building real-life tools to manage emotions, improve relationships, and move toward their goals.
I have experience working with diverse populations, including individuals dealing with high stress, burnout, and unresolved trauma. I also have additional training in sports psychology, which allows me to support high-performing individuals navigating pressure, identity, and performance-related challenges.
My goal is to help clients feel more grounded, confident, and in control of their lives while fostering long-term healing and growth.
Approach to Therapy
What makes my approach unique is that I meet you where you are, without judgment, and keep things real. I combine proven techniques with honest conversations and practical tools, so you’re not just talking about your problems, but actually learning how to manage and overcome them in everyday life.
