Brianna Palacios
I believe therapy can be a place where you finally feel safe enough to be honest about what you’re experiencing—and supported enough to begin doing something different. My goal is to create a genuine, nonjudgmental space where you can feel understood while also being challenged to grow.
I work with individuals and families navigating anxiety, OCD, trauma, grief, relationships, and difficult life transitions. My approach is warm, compassionate, and collaborative, while also being purposeful and evidence-based. I integrate Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), attachment-based therapy, and trauma-informed care to help clients understand their patterns, respond differently to difficult thoughts and emotions, and move toward the life and relationships they value.
I don’t believe therapy is about eliminating every uncomfortable thought or feeling. Instead, I help clients develop the confidence and flexibility to experience discomfort without letting it dictate their choices. Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, caught in cycles of reassurance or avoidance, struggling in a relationship, or simply feeling disconnected from yourself, we’ll work together to help you move forward with greater clarity, self-trust, and intention.
Above all, I want my clients to leave therapy not only feeling better, but feeling more capable of navigating life with confidence and authenticity.
Approach to Therapy
My approach to therapy is warm, collaborative, and individualized, while remaining grounded in evidence-based treatment. I believe therapy should help you understand not only what you are experiencing, but also why certain patterns continue and how you can begin responding differently. I integrate Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), attachment-based therapy, and trauma-informed approaches based on each client’s needs and goals. One of my areas of specialty is working with anxiety and OCD, including providing individualized ERP treatment. A unique service I offer is in-person, real-world ERP, where I meet with clients in their home or in the community, depending on where their OCD triggers occur. Rather than only talking about exposures during a traditional therapy session, we can practice facing those situations together in real time while strengthening response prevention skills. This allows clients to build confidence, tolerate uncertainty, and experience firsthand that they are capable of responding differently to their fears and urges. I believe meaningful therapy goes beyond simply reducing symptoms. My goal is to help clients develop greater psychological flexibility, self-trust, emotional resilience, and confidence so they can spend less time organizing their lives around anxiety or OCD and more time living according to what matters to them. What makes my approach unique is the combination of compassionate therapeutic support with practical, intentional work. I meet clients where they are while helping them take meaningful steps forward—even when anxiety or uncertainty is present. Therapy is not about waiting until you feel completely comfortable; it is about learning that you can move forward even when you don't.
