Teal Foster
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist dedicated to helping individuals navigate the complexities of trauma, anxiety, and major life transitions. My clinical approach is deeply rooted in Attachment Theory and psychodynamic perspectives, allowing me to help clients explore how early experiences shape their current relational patterns and self-perception. I integrate evidence-based modalities, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to provide a balanced framework of insight and practical coping strategies.
Additionally, I am a Level 1 and Level 2 EMDR-trained clinician, which allows me to effectively support clients in processing distressing memories and reducing the emotional charge of past traumas. By fostering a safe, collaborative environment, I focus on helping clients connect with their "child self" to heal foundational wounds and build long-term resilience. My practice is centered on the belief that understanding one’s internal narrative is the first step toward meaningful, lasting change.
